Account Deletion & Data Rights

MedFlicks user data lifecycle, right-to-be-forgotten, and permanent erasure policy.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

In compliance with Google Play Developer Policy, Apple App Store Guidelines, and international data protection regulations, MedFlicks provides every student with the unconditional right to permanently delete their account and erase all associated personal and learning data. Deletion can be initiated directly within the mobile app or via the self-service web form below without requiring the mobile app to be installed.

How to Request Account Deletion

Method 1: Directly Within the Mobile App

Immediate Processing

If you have the MedFlicks mobile app installed on your Android or iOS device, you can delete your account self-service at any time:

  2. Tap the Account tab
  3. Select the You shortcut
  4. Scroll down & tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the destructive prompt

Method 2: Authenticated Web Deletion (Without Mobile App)

Instant Purge

If you do not have the mobile app installed or are accessing MedFlicks via a browser, you can verify your account credentials below to immediately and permanently erase your account and all learning records.

Ownership Verification: Enter your registered email and password to verify account ownership. This prevents any unauthorized person from requesting deletion of your account. Upon verification, your account and learning records will be permanently erased.

Data Permanently Erased

  • • Full name and account profile metadata
  • • Email address and phone number linkage
  • • Your password, and the phone sign-in identity if you signed up with an OTP
  • • Video lecture watch progress and resume points
  • • MCQ session statistics and performance history
  • • Bookmarks and saved items
  • • Notifications and course access entitlements
  • • Active sessions, refresh tokens, and FCM push tokens

Statutory Retention Exceptions

Your name, email address and phone number are removed from the MedFlicks account record. A small amount of transaction data is kept, because we are required to:

  • • Certain transaction and payment records (order IDs, amounts and dates) may be retained where required for tax, legal, audit, reconciliation, fraud-prevention or similar legitimate obligations.
  • • An internal account reference and the payment processor's own identifiers may remain attached to those records. They are not used to restore normal account access, and they do not let anyone sign in as you.
  • • No learning records, activity metrics, or biometric data are retained under this exception.

Verification & Processing Timeframe

Identity Verification

To protect student accounts from unauthorized or malicious deletion, web deletion requires password authentication or assisted support verification before permanent data purge.

Processing Timeline

Both in-app deletions and credential-verified web deletions are processed immediately upon confirmation. Your learning records are removed at that point and your sign-in stops working straight away. Service providers we rely on (for hosting, email and payments) may keep limited records or routine system logs for a short period where they are required to by law, security practice or contract.
